    FOCUS: FAITH, FINANCE, & FITNESS

Can YOU believe it? Less than 3 months from 2024, I don’t know about you but I have not put a dent in my goals. Don’t be discouraged. If you are a believer, “with God ALL things are possible.” In the words of Dr. Bill Winston, “God’s plan is that our plans and provisions come by faith (belief) through the superior method in the spirit realm.” Yeah, this late in the game is going to require a miracle. A miracle is another word for supernatural. It goes against the natural order of things. Focus I read the story of the Shunammite woman. If you’re unfamiliar with the story read 2…

    Frame Your Future

FRAME YOUR FUTURE. I desire quantum progress in every area of my life in 2023. If you’ve been following me, you know my word for the year is ACCELERATION (formerly excellence). Since January, I’ve read multiple books and repeatedly listened to multiple teachings and sermons (Practice # 4 | Invest In Yourself). These authors and speakers are my imaginary advisors. I consult their media resources for advice. Another word that keeps catching my attention from these individuals, other than acceleration, is VISION. Accelerated growth and quantum leaping require a VISION (i.e. destination, target, or desire). A GPS requires a destination before it can create a route. Once you enter a…

How Badly Do You Really Want It?

“A hero is someone born into a world where they do not fit in. They are then summoned on a call to an adventure they are reluctant to take. What is the adventure? A revolutionary transformation of self. The final goal is to find the elixir, the magic potion that is the answer to unlocking her. Then she comes home to this ordinary life transformed and shares her story of survival with others.” Chapter 1, Running Self-Transformation How Badly Do You Really Want It? I didn’t listen to one memoir this past week but two: Finding Me by Viola Davis & Will by Will Smith. Both audiobooks talk about transformation,…

    Happy Birthday, Grandma!

Happy Birthday, Grandma! Today (August 25, Note: I published the article on another platform) is my deceased maternal grandmother’s birthday. Her name is Anna Robinson Chandler. Everyone called her “Muh” short for Madea. The only grandparent I met and actually know the name of. Muh was a hoot. She said the most darnest thing when she had her hooch that my eldest brother and first cousins use to sneak her against momma’s better judgment. I think they saw it as entertainment because she had no filter whatsoever. Once Muh told a cousin’s friend that her baby was ugly.  Muh was fluent in cursing.  “Mf if you don’t get your f#$&!*@…

    An Unforgettable Year | 2019

First of all, I need to pinch myself to make sure I’m not dreaming. I’m (still) living abroad with a man I met three times in person. Yes, three. I made the quickest and most significant decision of my life in a matter of a week. I jumped into the unknown, and it made for an unforgettable year. The decision rewarded me with rich adventures. I experienced several different cultures, cuisines, currencies, and climates. Meanwhile, making some spectacular memories. Valuable life and relationship lessons were learned. Being newly married to a foreigner in a foreign country is life and relationship training on steroids. I had a crash course on myself…

3 Lessons From Climbing the Wli Waterfall

Wli Agumatsa Waterfalls is located in the Volta Region near the HoHoe municipality in Ghana and a stone’s throw away from the Togo border. The Wli Waterfalls is the highest waterfall in Ghana and West Africa. The five-hour commute to the area is an experience in itself. Unless you charter a private car or bus, tro-tros are the most common mode of transportation to and from the Wli village. With the aid of my bluetooth headphones and cellphone’s gospel playlist, I was able to focus on the beautiful mountainous views and not so much on the rocky transit. I was excited about the new adventure but I underestimated the arduousness…
