Life Without Sugar

Day 50 at the top should read Day 60.

Life without sugar. It’s like no other.

Finally, I’ve kicked the sugar habit.

Today, Thanksgiving 2023 marks 64 days on the “No Sugar Challenge.”

No sugar means no refined sugar.

If you haven’t done it yet. Take the plunge. You will not regret it.

Your sleep will be better.

The elasticity and softness in your skin will look and feel phenomenal.

You will have more clarity in your thinking.

Improved bowel movements and a better mood.

Believe it or not, you will have more energy without a crash-and-burn feeling that comes from drinking highly caffeinated drinks.

Of course, there will be some hiccups.

During the first 10 days, I won a free meal at Texas Roadhouse from a radio station. The Ceasar Salad and Rolls had sugar. In addition, I made mashed potatoes from scratch with milk. Milk has sugar.

The moral of the story: Learn from your mistakes and keep pressing forward.

In addition, you will lose weight.

There are so many benefits to eliminating or minimizing sugar in your life.

Truly, I have no desire for food with refined sugar. On the other hand, I can devour natural fruits and veggies.

How Much Sugar To Consume?

The American Heart Association (AHA) recommends men eat less than 150 calories or 36 grams and women consume less than 100 calories or 24 grams of sugar per day.

There is no established limit of natural sugar per day.

Instead of consuming refined sugar, you can eat natural sugars, fats, carbs, and proteins.

Some examples of a well-balanced breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Breakfast: 2 avocado toast with fried egg.

Lunch: Salmon sandwich which includes 2 sugar-free toast, 1/4 avocado on one toast with lemon, salt, and pepper, mustard on other toast, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, Colby cheese, and a side of air-fried sweet potatoes.

Dinner: Chicken salad which includes pan-fried chicken breasts, spring mix lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, olives, avocado, mushrooms, boiled egg, air-fried sweet potatoes, and carrots.

Snack: fruit salad (watermelon, kiwi, tangerine, grapes, banana), mixed nuts

These meals will keep you full and satisfied.

Know your fitness goal. I have been advised to eat 3 meals and 3 snacks that consist of more protein.

If you’ve been following me, you know I’m trying to grow my der·ri·ère.

Several sources advise eating your weight in grams of protein to tone up.

For example, I weigh 149 lbs. Therefore, I will need to consume 149 grams of protein.

Hence, the importance of knowing your fitness goals: lose weight, bulk up, or maintain.

FOCUS: Faith, Finance, & Fitness Update

Fitness: The sugar habit kicked and the challenge has been extended until December 19, 2023 (90 days). My booty grew by a quarter of an inch (39.5 to 39.75).

Finance: Completed 11 of 12 books in the “Level Up Wealth Consciousness” Reading Challenge. I’m an official travel agency owner who specializes in Dubai (UAE) and Ghana trips. I applied for and received my business license.

Faith: After some prayer and fasting, Daniel was appointed for an interview on October 23 with the USA Embassy in the UAE and he passed. Praise God!

Even though, everyone before him was being denied.

Finally, Daniel is coming to America.

Yes indeed, it won’t be long NOW. God’s decree. Things are going to happen so fast my head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. I won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once–and everywhere I look blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills.
